Pulling into the property, guests are greeted by a historical marker for the 1914 house built by owner Alva Jackson’s grandfather and a large L-O-V-E sign sitting on the lawn. Ma Margaret was Jackson’s grandmother, and her B&B philosophy derives directly from the hospitality her grandparents extended family members throughout their lives in the house.
From the begonia-filled front porch to the cozy sitting room complete with Ma Margaret’s working Victrola, the fully renovated house boasts 21st-century luxury alongside family antiques, with six sumptuous bedrooms—some with private balconies overlooking Celebration Circle and its fountain—each honoring a different family name. For extra indulgence, a personal masseuse is available.
Downstairs, a dining room table that seats eight shows off Jackson’s culinary prowess as she serves a full country breakfast every morning. Just off the dining room, the snack area is stocked with fresh-baked goods, coffee, tea, ice, crackers and sweets. Guests have their choice of five area restaurants within a 10-minute drive.
