Winter Birding with Andrew Dolby: “Waterfowl and Other Overwintering Birds”
to
Stratford Hall 483 Great House Rd., Stratford, Virginia 22558
They’ve tugged at your heartstrings before: those balls of fluff that wait patiently nearby as you fill up the feeder on a cold January morning. While we can’t deny our winter birds a little sunflower seed and suet, we can be amazed at how tough these Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice really are.
Mr. Andrew Dolby will offer a lecture on winter birding in the duPont Library beginning at 9:00 AM. The lecture will be followed by a walk about the Stratford Hall grounds or a caravan car tour to George Washington's Birthplace to identify winter species of birds. The lecture/walk/caravan tour will end about 1:00 PM.
Tickets will be sold the day of at the duPont Library next to our Visitor Center.
$22 for adults, $15 for children 13 and under.
Event subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
