The Civil War Civilians of Spotsylvania will be at Stratford in the Visitor Center from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Civil War Civilians of Spotsylvania is an organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the non-military history of Spotsylvania and the surrounding areas just prior to, during and following the American Civil War…from 1857 to 1867. The stories of the local civilians merit telling as much as those of the armies, both North and South, that moved across their lands, through their communities, and dramatically impacted their lives.
