Annual Oktoberfest: Oysters, Bratwursts, brews, and oompah-pahs will spice up the waterfront village of Fleeton just outside of Reedville.
The festivities at the Mariagarten tent will get off to an official start at noon when Bürgermeister Michael DeGroot, Fleeton's honorary mayor for the day, taps the first beer keg and yells the traditional O'zapft is! (It's tapped!)
Festival goers will be tempted by the aromas of traditional German street fare cooked outside. The grills will be sizzling with classic German sausages including Bratwurst, Knackwurst and frankfurters, served with homemade sauerkraut, German potato salad and giant soft pretzels.
Carryout available. Homemade stews, preserves, baked goods, apples and pumpkins also for sale.
Fun for the whole family. In addition to traditional Bavarian music, there will be polka dancing, antique Model T car rides, a corn hole game, and a children's play garden with candy apples, pumpkin and cookie decorating, and face painting.
Don your lederhosen and your dirndl, grab your stein and join us at the Mariagarten tent in Fleeton. Herzlich Willkommen!
