The Friday before May Faire Weekend, May 3rd from 6pm-9pm, come to Downtown Mathews for the first Music on Maple Ave. event! The Mathews County Historical Society and Mathews Visitor Center are hosting an evening of great live folk music, with beer and wine and Shore Bites food truck available for purchase! Tara Mills and Jimmy Stelling Music of Charlottesville will be performing from 6:30-9pm, with the local VW Old Time duet opening at 6pm for the evening. There are limited tickets for sale for $25 which include two drinks and a cup, or pay $30 at the door. The event is located at 44 Maple Ave., Mathews, VA 23109 within the Library courtyard, and parking is available along Main Street, or in the parking lot behind the Library. This event will be cancelled if bad weather occurs. This event is made possible through local sponsorships including East River Construction, Inc of Mathews County specializing in site concrete for commercial construction, who in fact built the courtyard and sidewalks where Music on Maple is occurring!
