Help clean Mathews County roadways on Saturday, April 27th 8am to Noon.
Grab your family, church group, or local organization to pick up a portion of Mathews roads! All you have to do is show up and provide you own transportation, and the Visitor Center will provide you supplies, free breakfast and free lunch.
Here is the schedule:
8am-9am: Check-in, Safety and Route Information, Pick up Supplies and Free Breakfast
9am-Noon: Provide your own transportation to your designated roadway. Leave orange trash bags on the side of the road and keep track of how many. VDOT will be responsible for picking up the bags.
Noon: Return to Visitor Center with equipment, and report bag collection totals. Enjoy a free pizza party!
All groups must have an adult over 18 years of age and are responsible for their own transportation. Please wear pants, long sleeves and water proof shoes.
