Wintertide, a free concert by the Williamsburg Choral Guild
to
St. Martin's Episcopal Church 1333 Jamestown Road , Williamsburg, Virginia 23185
The Williamsburg Choral Guild joyfully rings in the winter season with new settings of familiar texts in June Nixon’s brilliant The Holly and the Ivy and Julian Wachner’s exhilarating re-imagining of the holiday carols O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Angels We Have Heard on High, each for mixed chorus and organ. We’ll sing favorites like Lo, How a Rose e’er Blooming, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, and O Tannenbaum as well as contemporary works like Ring Out, Ye Bells! by Dale Trombore.
The Guild will collaborate with our youth outreach choir, the Williamsburg Youth Chorale, under the keen direction of Ann Porter and Genrose Lashinger.
Join Artistic Director Brian Isaac, organist Karen Areheart Ives and the chorus as they celebrate this festive season with song.
Tickets are not required. This is the Guild’s gift to the community. Please consider a food donation for FISH, Inc. or a contribution to the Guild.
