The Fairfield Foundation, in partnership with Seltzer Film & Video and the Contraband Historical Society, will host a free community event featuring filmmaker Laura Seltzer-Duny. Attendees can get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her upcoming PBS documentary, "The Gate," which examines the history of the Contraband families at Fort Monroe. The event is set for 11am on January 19, 2026, at the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester. Participants are encouraged to RSVP by emailing sara@fairfieldfoundation.org.
