3 Local farm eggs
1 ½ cups Homestead Creamery heavy cream
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
⅛ tsp Salt
⅛ tsp White pepper
½ tsp Nutmeg
1 pinch Cayenne pepper
½ cup White cheddar cheese
⅓ cup Fontina cheese
¼ cup Gruyere cheese
1 Homemade pie crust
DIRECTIONS
- Layer grated cheeses in pie crust.
- Using stick blender on low speed, mix eggs, cream and spices in bowl.
- Pour blended mixture over cheeses in pie crust.
- Bake at 325°F, 40-50 minutes, until middle is set.
For variety, add seasonal ingredients such as caramelized onions; broccoli; local sausage, ham or bacon; butternut squash; spinach; kale; acorn squash; peppers; or tomatoes.
