For over 25 years, The Bay School Community Arts Center has hosted its annual Gala & Art Auction as the primary fundraising event to support its community outreach programs. This year during the evening of September 27, A Night in Paris Gala & Art Auction will be held at the waterfront estate of Brighton Farm, the home of Robert Williams and Elizabeth Rountree.
Guests will enjoy an open bar and appetizers while they stroll the grounds and participate in a Silent Auction of fine art and creatively inspired collections of items and experiences. Madison Franks on piano will set the tone early in the evening with Tony Mata providing jazz guitar during dinner. Brian Marshall has devised a delicious Paris-themed dining experience to delight guests, which then will be followed by the Live Auction. The highlight of the evening, the Live Auction provides an opportunity for spirited bidding on exciting trips in the United States and abroad, culinary and nautical experiences, and even more original fine art.
The outreach programs, which are supported by proceeds from this event, are at the heart of the mission of The Bay School. Currently, The Bay School has ten active outreach programs that serve a broad array of ages and abilities. On average, over 240 individuals participate and benefit from these programs each year to provide inclusive arts experiences to all. Pam Doss, Executive Director of The Bay School, describes this annual event as “an entertaining opportunity to bring together like-minded supporters of the arts who deeply believe in the power of creativity to form community and explore individual potential. Our outreach programs make this possible by reaching out into the community to offer creative experiences to individuals who may not otherwise be able to come to us. The proceeds from this fundraiser make our mission a reality.”
