Spring is here, and with it comes the annual opening of the Steamboat Era Museum. When you visit the museum, enjoy two new exhibits:
Painting the Steamboat Era showcases six stunning oil paintings capturing the power and beauty of steamboats.
Life on the Old Bay Line delves into the daily experiences aboard Chesapeake Bay steamboats, from elegant dining and passenger accommodations to the lives of the captains who commanded them.
Together, these exhibits bring the rich heritage of steamboat travel to life—don’t miss this special opening day celebration!
Many of the artifacts in these exhibits, such as the ones pictured here, were generously donated only recently and are being displayed for the first time—don’t miss this special opportunity to be among the first to see them!
