In honor of Black History Month and beyond, celebrate the opening of the 2026 Black Artist Showcase exhibit, connecting the past and present through vivid intersections of contemporary art and 17th-century history.
In recognition of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, this year’s theme — inspired by the 18th-century prose of Phillis Wheatley — “Raise Your Voices: Sounds of Protest” features contemporary Virginia artists showcasing their perspectives through various art mediums.
Meet with the artists, enjoy a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres, and mingle with live music.
