In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, Humble Store—an 1890 restored general store specializing in antiques, vintage, and specialty goods—will host summer long community events to celebrate America 250.
Located at 148 Griffiths Corner Road in the heart of Virginia’s Northern Neck, Humble Store will offer visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience shopping through the lens of early American life in a rural coastal community. As we begin the celebration of America's 250 birthday we have decided to make it a summer long event which begins on the weekend of May 29–31, 2026.
This first event is May 29–May 31: “Patriots Style indoor - outdoor Market at Humble Store as we 'Shop Like It's 1776' with great values during our Annual Spring Sale Celebration"
This marketplace will be showcasing antiques, vintage, specialty goods, and local artisan goods. Some goods will be at their best prices of the season.
- Friday, May 29: 12–5pm
- Saturday, May 30: 10am–5pm
- Sunday, May 31: 12–5pm
Visitors can also enjoy on Sunday, May 31 12–5pm a local favorite food truck, The Tiny Tailgate, on our lawn as we “Picnic Like It’s 1776,” featuring an Americana-themed classic fare with a historical flavored twist, alongside vintage-inspired goods available in-store.
“Our events this summer are more than celebrating the Fourth of July and America 250,” said the owners of Humble Store. “It’s about honoring the everyday American story—the people, places, and traditions that have shaped our country over the past 250 years.”
Humble Store invites locals and visitors alike to experience a meaningful and authentic American, Virginian, and Northern Neck 250 Summer Celebration rooted in history, community, and tradition.
